Description
The author intended this book “for people who have not time to learn Hebrew. My object being to help them study Christian doctrine in the light of O.T. terminology.” Translations can never fully bring out all the shades of thought found in the Hebrew Bible. The English word “Lion”, for example, stands for five different Hebrew words in two consecutive verses of Job; thirteen Hebrew words are rendered “light” in the A.V., for eighteen of them stands “fear”.
